Does the charger have an automatic shut-off feature?
Yes. The charger is a smart charger and will automatically shut off when the battery is fully charged.
How long does it take to fully charge the battery?
Typically, it takes about 6 to 8 hours to fully charge the battery.
Is it a fast charger?
Charging speed depends mainly on the output current. While many chargers claim to be fast, most do not charge faster than others. The recommended charging current of 2.6A to 3.0A balances charging efficiency and battery longevity, as suggested by SLA battery manufacturers.
Can I leave the charger plugged in for days or during the whole winter?
The auto shut-off reduces current when the battery is full but does not completely disconnect the charger. It maintains a very low current to keep the battery at 100%. It is best practice to unplug the charger once fully charged and avoid charging for more than 10 hours continuously.
